EMBODIMENT

Right here and right now, I call forth a revolution in my consciousness. I experience a revolution in my mind that now realizes its oneness with all beings, all life. My soul pours out a blessing to all my brothers and sisters on the planet. In consciousness, I wrap my spiritual arms around everyone, those who call themselves my family, my friends, even my enemies. I expand this awareness to include my entire neighborhood, my community, my city, my state, my country, and my world.

I acknowledge myself as a member of the Beloved Community that includes the entire globe. All beings are my brothers and sisters; all creatures are my relatives. This truth of my oneness with all life is awakened in my consciousness as never before. The spiritual astigmatism is removed from my inner sight, and I not only sense and know my oneness with all beings, I respond to it. Everything shines brighter through the lens of this realization, leading me to make new choices, to take new actions. I freely share of my heart, time, energy, and resources with my world.

No longer do I give my power to society’s opinions. I release my false identity and now know myself to be what Existence means for me to be: a self-responsible, self-realized being. That which is real about me—love, compassion, peace, generosity—asserts itself uniquely in, through, and as me. This is not simply a mental exercise. It takes the form of action that emanates from my heart. I begin today in simple ways to express love and generosity of spirit. I now see opportunities all around me to give of myself, to serve my brothers and sisters.

I am fed and nourished by a vision of peace on the planet, beginning within my own heart. When I am tempted to choose impatience, I choose patience. When I am tempted to choose retaliation, I choose reconciliation. When I see in the news images of those who are suffering and in sorrow, I send out a blessing to heal their hearts. I send out a blessing to the leaders of countries who imagine themselves to be dictators of their people, holding them in bondage. I declare that their misunderstanding of genuine power shifts right now. Where countries fight over boundaries, I see false divisions dissolving. Battles over historical or religious rights are set aside, and cooperation and harmony are now the order of the day.

And it is in this awareness that I realize the preciousness of human life. I send out a blessing to all of my brothers and sisters on the planet. May they know peace, inner fulfillment. May they all have food, water, clothing, and education. Above all, may they know love, may they realize their own inner self and express their unique gifts and talents. My prayer is that all beings may be free, free to fully participate in the joy of existence.

I fearlessly walk through life, daring to go against the crowd. I count myself in the number of spiritual revolutionaries.
